Three people have denied being involved in an £814,000 fraud at a bus company.

The offences are said to have taken place over two-and-a-half years at Padarn Bus in Llanberis, Gwynedd.

John David Hulme, 54, from Caernarfon, Anne Louise Price, 28, from Llanberis and Darren Charles Price, 44, of Llanrug, appeared before Caernarfon Magistrates' court.

They are accused of claiming the firm carried more concessionary passengers than was true.

All three also face a charge of false accounting.

Mr Hulme is charged with fraud involving £496,126.78 between July 2011 and December 2012.

Ms Price and Mr Price are accused of fraud involving £318,524.64 between January 2013 and February 2014.

The defendants deny all the charges against them.

They were released on bail and will appear before Caernarfon Crown Court on 22 December.

Padarn Bus went into liquidation earlier this year with the loss of 84 jobs.
