Man, 29, with cramp rescued from Snowdon

A 29-year-old man had to be rescued from near the top of Snowdon after suffering with cramp in both legs.

Llanberis mountain rescue team were called out to a party of five men at about 15:30 GMT on Saturday.

The man was in snow and ice on the Pyg track 2,500 ft (762m) up the mountain and he was helped down just after dusk.

The rescue team said the men, who were from London, were well equipped except for essential ice axes and crampons which are needed in winter conditions.
