Snowdon walker flown to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital after fall

A walker has been winched to safety off Snowdon by a search and rescue helicopter after falling on the mountain.

North Wales Police requested help for the casualty at about 16:30 BST on Saturday.

The UK coastguard's helicopter based at Caernarfon was sent to the scene, along with Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.

The walker was flown to hospital at Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor.
