Nant Conwy ex-rugby player killed in A470, Dolgellau, crash
A rugby club's members have been left devastated after a former captain was killed in a crash on the A470 near Dolgellau in Gwynedd.
Emrys Evans, 40, died during the incident outside Coed y Brenin mountain bike centre at about 14:00 GMT on Sunday.
The former Nant Conwy player was also part of the Llandovery side that won the Welsh Cup.
In a statement the club said it had been left "astounded" by his death.
"Apart from being one of the best players produced by Nant over its short existence, Emrys will be remembered fondly for how he surprised everyone in having a different hairstyle and colouring in every sort of 'cup final' that Nant took part in over the last five years or so," the statement said.
