Pair plead guilty to Colwyn Bay stab attack
Two men accused of attempting to murder a man in a stabbing incident have had the charge against them dropped after pleading guilty to lesser offences.
Alex Dean Patterson, 23, received a number of stab wounds to the chest in Colwyn Bay, Conwy county on 17 June.
Kyle Rochell from Mochdre admitted an alternative charge of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Cody Allen from Colwyn Bay admitted an alternative charge of assault, occasioning actual bodily harm.
Both pleas were accepted at Mold Crown Court on Thursday. The pair have been remanded in custody pending sentencing.
Judge Rhys Rowlands ordered pre-sentence reports and adjourned sentencing provisionally for 18 December.
He told the defendants that both had entered acceptable pleas which would be reflected in a reduction in sentence.
