Ex-Plaid Cymru MP Adam Price to stand for Welsh assembly

Former MP Adam Price has been selected by Plaid Cymru to stand for the Welsh assembly in his ex-parliamentary constituency.

Mr Price will fight for the Carmarthen East and Dinefwr seat at the next assembly election in 2016.

The current Plaid AM, Rhodri Glyn Thomas, is stepping down.

Plaid Cymru's leader Leanne Wood tweeted that Mr Price was selected as the party's candidate on Thursday night.
