Appeal after pedestrian dies in Swansea road incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died following a road incident on Saturday in Penclawdd, near Swansea.

The pedestrian in his 50s was found in the road with injuries on the Crofty Industrial estate, following a collision at around 2230BST.

The man who lives locally was taken to Morriston hospital, but later died.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police on 01792 456999, extension 52 331.

In a statement, the force said: "The police would like to speak to any person who witnessed a male near this location at that time and from anyone who was in the vicinity and witnessed a collision or any vehicles driving on the Crofty industrial estate that have yet to provide their details."

The road was closed for approximately four hours while police carried out initial investigations and recovered the vehicles.
