Two bikers die near Shirenewton in separate collisions
Two motorcyclists were killed on the same road near a south Wales village within hours of each other.
Jack Isaac Meachin, 18, from the Bristol area, died after a collision with a car at 1210 BST on Monday near Shirenewton, near Chepstow.
Then at about 1645 BST Jamie Tutt, 26, from Aberdare, Cynon Valley, also died after a separate collision with a car.
Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses on 01633 642404 or 101.
Mr Meachin's Suzuki bike was in collision with a Volvo car towing a caravan, said police.
Paying tribute, Mr Meachin's family described him as "a very gentle, funny and kind young man".
"He enjoyed life to the full and could bring a smile to anyone's face," said the statement.
"He was happy in his job and loved spending his spare time on his motocross bike or with his many friends."
Mr Tutt's family said: "Jamie was a wonderful son to us, a brother to Emma, partner to Becki, dad to Dylan and a loyal friend.
"He will be sadly missed by everyone who knows him. Jamie's memory will live on forever."
Police said the collisions occurred 5.9 miles (9.5 km) apart from each other on the B4235 which runs through the village.
Mr Tutt, riding a silver/grey Yamaha motorcycle, was in collision with a black Peugeot 206 car.
A man, woman and two children in the Peugeot were uninjured.
The road was temporarily closed while the emergency services were in attendance.
