Penarth woman denies murdering son, aged 11

A 49-year-old woman has denied murdering her son and been remanded to a mental health clinic while psychiatric reports are carried out.

Yvonne Freaney, of Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, is accused of killing Glen, 11, who was autistic.

His body was found at the Sky Plaza Hotel, near Cardiff airport, in May.

At Cardiff Crown Court she was bailed to the Caswell Clinic, Bridgend, for further psychiatric evaluation. The case was adjourned to 8 November.
