Family pay tribute to Abergavenny crash death cyclist

A family have paid tribute to a 67-year-old cyclist who died after collision with a vehicle in south Wales.

Edwin Bond, of Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, was pronounced dead at Nevill Hall hospital after the 16.05 GMT crash near the town on Sunday.

"Edwin was a family man who will be sorely missed," said the family in a statement.

Gwent Police asked for any witnesses to contact them on 01633 642404.

Mr Bond was called "a highly skilled mechanical engineer".

"He was a kind, wonderful man who was hard working," the family's statement added.

The collision, which involved a green Land Rover, happened on the B4598 between Abergavenny and Llanvihangel Gobion.

The road was temporarily closed by police.
