Motorcyclist killed in Cardiff road crash

A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a 4x4 vehicle in Cardiff.

The 35-year-old man's Honda motorcycle was involved in a crash with a red Ford Maverick 4x4 vehicle in Grangetown at 1740 GMT on Sunday.

The 4x4 driver, a 66-year-old man, was not injured in the incident at the junction of Penarth Road and Clive Street.

The road was closed for several hours while an investigation took place.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or who saw either vehicle travelling beforehand is asked to contact the roads policing unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
