Two people rescued from boat in River Taff in Cardiff

Two people had to be rescued when their boat sprung a leak in the River Taff in Cardiff.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called at 2057 BST on Wednesday to an incident in Penarth Road.

Several appliances were used, including a fire service boat, a special rescue unit and a line rescue unit from Malpas.

South Wales Police attended, but said it was not a criminal matter. There were no reports of injuries.
