Absconder Leon Passmore is returned to Prescoed prison

A convicted armed robber who absconded from a Monmouthshire jail has been returned to custody.

Leon Passmore, 27, went on the run from Prescoed open prison near Usk on 4 April.

Gwent Police announced on Friday that he has been located and returned to prison custody.

Passmore was convicted and sentenced at Swansea Crown Court in April 2009 and is serving a six year sentence.
