Risca driver charged over Ian Hamilton's roadside death

A 22-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a man was found dead by the side of a road in Caerphilly.

The body of Ian Hamilton, 27, from Bristol, was found near Pontllanfraith in Caerphilly county early on 17 July.

Gwent Police said the man who is from Risca, is due to appear before magistrates in Caerphilly on Wednesday.

An 18-year-old woman, also arrested on Tuesday, was released without charge.

The man in custody is also charged with failing to stop after an accident, not reporting an accident, and driving without insurance.
