The M4 motorway was blocked near Swansea after a car overturned, say police.

South Wales Police said three vehicles were involved on M4 eastbound at junction 43 Llandarcy but all lanes were re-opened by 13:30 BST.

Two lanes of the westbound carriageway were also affected as far as junction 44 at Llansamlet.

Two people suffered minor injuries. One was treated at the scene and the other taken to Morriston Hospital.

Traffic eventually returned to normal. The entry slip road at junction 43 re-opened by 14:15.

Earlier, there was congestion back to junction 42 and the A48 at Earlswood roundabout and Fabian Way.

South Wales Police and emergency services were at the scene to deal with an overturned vehicle.

The main carriageway was closed and vehicles were diverted up and over at junction 43.
