Driver, 58, dies after collision on A449 near Usk.

Gwent Police are appealing for witnesses after a 58-year-old driver died in a collision on the A449.

Officers said the Green Jaguar X Type was travelling north when it left the road near the Usk junction at about 13:50 BST on Friday.

The driver who had a serious head injury was taken by air ambulance to the University of Wales Hospital in Cardiff where he later died.

Police are asking for anyone with information to contact them on 101.

The northbound carriageway of the A449 was closed for five hours while specialist officers carried out an investigation.
