Rescue teams find missing Abercynon man, 66, safe

A 66-year-old missing man was found safe and well during the early hours of Sunday after teams of rescuers were called in to look for him.

They were brought in at 23:30 BST on Saturday, and he was discovered three hours later, close to his home in Abercynon, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

The Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team were among those involved.

Other groups who took part were also from the Brecon Beacons, and South Wales Mountain Rescue Search Dogs.

Penny Brockman, of the Central Beacons team, called it an excellent example of working together and "a textbook search operation".
