Motorcyclist, 21, dies in A474 crash near Pontardawe

A man has died after his motorcycle crashed in the Neath Port Talbot area on Sunday.

The 21-year-old, who lived locally, was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa as he rode his black Honda motorcycle on the A474 just north of Rhyd y Fro, Pontardawe.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at around 20:30 BST.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Both vehicles were travelling in the same southerly direction towards Pontardawe.

The three occupants of the Vauxhall Corsa were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said the motorcyclist's next of kin has been informed.
