A man has appeared in court charged with the manslaughter of a Wales fan who died from head injuries suffered outside Wembley Stadium two weeks ago.

Cardiff City fan Michael Dye, 44, was found injured near Gate C of the ground before Wales' Euro 2012 qualifier against England on 6 September.

Ian Mytton, 41, from Redditch did not not enter a plea during a preliminary hearing at Worcester crown court.

He was remanded in in custody until 15 November.

Mr Dye was taken to Northwick Park Hospital after suffering a fractured skull on a concourse next to the stadium at about 19:20 BST, but died shortly after his arrival.

Last week a 42-year-old man was arrested in Worcestershire and later released on bail to a date in mid-November pending further inquiries.

A further three men arrested in connection with the death after voluntarily attending a police station in the West Mercia area have also been freed on police bail until early November.
