Woman is cut free from A470 crash near Nantgarw

A woman had to be cut free from a car after being involved in a crash on the A470 near Nantgarw, between Pontypridd and Cardiff.

South Wales Police said two cars collided on the northbound carriageway at 19:48 GMT on Tuesday before one hit a parked "box van".

The man driving one car suffered a hand injury.

No details are available of the injuries of the female passenger who was cut free.
