Tribute to Bridgend crash mother of four Kelly Jenkins

A driver killed in a car crash in Bridgend on Tuesday was a 33-year-old mother of four girls, it has emerged.

Kelly Jenkins, who was from the town, died and two of her daughters, aged 14 and 19 months, were injured in the collision on the A4064 near Llangeinor.

Her family said her death had left a "huge hole" in their hearts and in the community.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the collision at 10:10 GMT on the Brynmenyn to Llangeinor road.

Ms Jenkins' family said in a statement issued by police: "Kelly was a great mother to four special girls. She was a great girlfriend, sister, daughter and friend.

"She was always the life and soul of the party. She made a massive impact on everyone's life. She was always up for a laugh and a joke but always put her family first."

Busy road

South Wales Police said Ms Jenkins' green BMW 325 car was the only vehicle involved in the incident.

Insp Jason Stroud said: "The road was busy at the time of the collision and we would like to speak to any person who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen the vehicle being driven prior to the collision."
