Cardiff pedestrian injured by South Wales Police car

An investigation has been launched after a pedestrian was injured in a collision with a police car in Cardiff.

The 67-year-old female was taken to hospital with a head injury following the incident at Newport Road in Rumney around 17:45 GMT on Wednesday.

South Wales Police said it had referred the case to the Independent Police Complaints Commission to investigate.

Witnesses to the incident near the junction with Witla Court Road are asked to contact the force on 101.
