Pontycymmer fire: three people rescued

Three people have been rescued following a house fire near Bridgend.

Fire crews were called to a mid-terrace house at Pontycymmer at 03:43 GMT on Thursday after the alarm was raised.

Two people are being treated in hospital following the incident, while a third person, a man, was rescued too.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service says the blaze was put out quickly, with fire crews standing down at 04:05 GMT. Police and ambulance crews were also on hand to help.
