Murder charge over Kyle Griffith street crash death
South Wales Police say a 22-year-old Cardiff man has been charged with murder over a car crash in the city in which a pedestrian died.
Kyle Griffith, 25, died after the incident early on Tuesday on James Street.
The car driver, from Pentwyn, has been taken to hospital for treatment to a leg injury he suffered in the incident.
South Wales Police said he will appear at Cardiff magistrates' court in due course.
Mr Griffith, who lived in Cardiff Bay, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales where he later died.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident in James Street or anyone who may have seen a P-registration blue Fiat Cinquecento car prior to the collision.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
