Firefighters tackle house fire at Pontypool

Firefighters in south Wales have tackled a house fire that threatened to spread to neighbouring properties.

Emergency services were called to an address at Central Drive in Trevethin, Pontypool, at 14:30 GMT on Thursday.

South Wales Fire Service called in an aerial ladder team from Newport and a water bowser from Caerphilly to assist four other teams.

The fire service said nobody was injured in the incident.
