Pentyrch: Bleddyn Rees King remanded in custody accused of David Evans murder

A teenager has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a 64-year-old man, found dead following a fire in a bungalow in a village near Cardiff.

The body of David Evans was found at his home at Cefn Bychan, Pentyrch, shortly after 02:30 GMT on Friday.

Bleddyn Rees King, 18, from the Abercynon area, appeared before magistrates in Cardiff on Monday.

He was remanded in custody until Wednesday when he will appear at Cardiff Crown Court.

Police are still appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
