Cardiff city centre collision leaves pedestrian in hospital

A pedestrian is in hospital with serious head injuries after being in collision with a car in Cardiff city centre early on Sunday.

The man was hurt in an incident with a red Ford Focus on Dumfries Place at its junction to Queen Street at 05:00 GMT.

The road was closed for three hours during the investigation and for the car's recovery.

South Wales Police appealed for witnesses to call the roads policing unit on 01656 655555.
