Cardiff City fans have snapped up the last tickets for Sunday's Carling Cup final against Liverpool at Wembley.

An extra 1,500 tickets went on sale on Tuesday at Cardiff City Stadium but have now sold out.

Only Cardiff fans registered on the club's database before the game were eligible to buy the extra tickets.

Cardiff had already sold 31,000 tickets for the game, which sees the first appearance by a Welsh club in the Carling Cup final.

Cardiff City said on its website: "We would like to thank all the supporters for their patience over the course of what has been a complex and large scale operation.

"We are sure that over 32,000 Cardiff City fans will once again be a sight to enjoy this weekend for the showpiece final against Liverpool FC."

Cardiff reached the final after beating Crystal Palace in a penalty shoot-out last month.
