Injured teen girl rescued from mountain near Abertillery

An injured teenage girl had to be rescued by firefighters from a mountainside in Blaenau Gwent.

Crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to mountain in Cwmtillery, near Abertillery at 20:20 on Tuesday.

It is not known if the girl, who was suffering from a suspected broken leg, was alone or in a group.

Paramedics who were also called to the scene took the girl to hospital after rescue crews brought her to safety.
