Flights are returning to normal at Cardiff Airport after thick fog caused early morning disruption.

An inbound flight from Newcastle was diverted to Birmingham while some departures were delayed with flights to Aberdeen and Amsterdam cancelled.

Coastguards at Milford Haven and Swansea reported poor visibility along the south Wales coast.

Meanwhile there were warnings of poor driving conditions along the M4 including the Second Severn Crossing.

A spokeswoman for the airport said at 10:00 GMT flights were returning to normal with only minor delays to some services.
