River Taff rescue of man near Castle Street, Cardiff

Firefighters have staged a late night rescue of a man from the River Taff in Cardiff city centre.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews attended the incident near Castle Street - which is close to the Millennium Stadium - at 23:00 BST on Sunday.

The man was rescued from the river using throw lines.

The fire service said crews from Cardiff central and and Ely fire stations attended the incident.
