Man seriously injured in Croesyceiliog burglary attack

A man suffered serious head injuries in an aggravated burglary in Torfaen.

Officers were called at 19:56 BST on Friday after three men entered a property in Caerwen Road, Croesyceiliog, threatening the occupants with weapons.

A man was taken to hospital with head injuries but has since been released from hospital, along with a woman who was also hurt.

Gwent Police have appealed for witnesses to contact the force on 101.

Police said the attackers' faces were covered and they went in the back door.

The youngest is described as being approximately 18 years old, of slight build and with fair features.

They left empty-handed.
