Dinas Powys collision: Three members of same family in hospital

Three members of one family were injured when a car left the road in Dinas Powys in the Vale of Glamorgan and hit them while they were out walking.

Police say a red Seat Ibiza was involved in the collision on Millbrook Road near the junction with Eastbrook Close at about 13:55 GMT.

A 65-year-old woman, suffered a head injury and two men, aged 68 and 38, were also taken to hospital in Cardiff.

Police are appealing for witnesses.

They say a 21-year-old local man was driving the Seat in the collision.

Another silver vehicle was being driven along Millbrook Road at the time and officers want to trace it and its driver.

Officers also want to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who stopped to help, or anyone who may have seen the vehicles or pedestrian before the collision.

The road was closed for some time on Saturday while police carried out initial investigations and recovered the vehicle.
