M4 crash: Woman taken to hospital after collision on M4 near Pencoed

A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash involving two vehicles on the M4 in south Wales near Pencoed.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service cut the injured woman from her car using hydraulic equipment.

The crash happened shortly before 09:10 GMT on Friday and closed two lanes of the motorway between Pencoed and Miskin ( junctions 35 and 34).

South Wales Police said they were waiting for the the vehicles to be recovered before reopening the lanes.

It had been initially reported that there were three vehicles involved.
