South Wales fire crews tackle two house fires
Fire crews have spent the evening tackling two separate house fires in the Cynon and Rhondda Valleys.
Crews from Tonypandy and Porth were called to a terraced house in Tonypandy at 18:30 GMT on Wednesday, where the ground floor was badly damaged.
Firefighters were then called to a blaze at 20:41 GMT at Llwydcoed, near Aberdare, which is still ongoing.
There are no reports of any injuries in either incident.
The detached property at Llwydcoed is reported to be well alight, with flames in the roof space.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said extra crews had been drafted in to help extinguish the blaze.
Initially, it was feared that people were in the building, but the fire service said they had established that it was empty.
The other house in the Rhondda will now be examined by fire officers later on Wednesday, after the blaze was brought under control.
