Woman rescued from River Rhymney in Ystrad Mynach

A woman has been rescued from a river in Caerphilly county by firefighters.

Eight crews from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service used three ladders to save the woman from the River Rhymney in Ystrad Mynach.

The Welsh Ambulance Service said no details were available on the woman's condition.

The alarm was raised shortly after 16:30 BST on Thursday and involved fire crews from Cefn Fforest, Caerphilly, Pontypridd, Malpas and Barry.
