Driver questioned after cyclist dies on A472 at Crumlin

A driver is being questioned after a cyclist died following a collision involving two cars.

The 60-year-old male rider, from Markham in Caerphilly county, was killed on the A472 Hafodyrynys Road in Crumlin at 07:20 BST on Monday.

He was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport but died.

A 51-year-old man, from Porth in Rhondda Cynon Taf, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The driver of the second car was unhurt.

Gwent Police said witnesses should call 101.
