Pedestrian hurt in road incident in Pentre, Rhondda

A pedestrian suffered a serious head injury after a road incident involving a car in the Rhondda late on Sunday night.

The 28-year-old man from Berkshire is in a stable condition at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

The Ford Fiesta driver was treated for shock after the collision in Llywelyn Street, Pentre at 23:45 BST.

Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was badly injured in a crash near St Brides in the Vale of Glamorgan.

The 54-year-old man was in collision with a car at around 15:30 BST on Sunday.

South Wales Police have appealed for witnesses.
