Caerphilly 'gun' incident: Three men charged

Three men have been charged with firearms offences after people reported seeing some men in a car with a gun.

Police were called to Cardiff Road, Caerphilly, at 14:45 BST on Thursday and stopped a light green VW Golf.

The three men - aged 26, 35, and 37 - have been charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

The 37-year-old also faces charges of driving whilst disqualified, without a licence and without insurance.

All the men are from the Caerphilly area and were remanded to appear at the town's magistrates' court on Saturday.

Gwent Police urged witnesses to contact them by dialling 101 quoting log number 303 29/8/13.
