A 26-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man in Caerphilly county has been released on bail.

Ian Davies, 27, died in hospital after he was injured during an incident in Trinant near Newbridge on Saturday.

Officers were called to a property in Marshfield Road.

Another man aged 26 and two women aged 22 and 30 - all from the local area and also arrested on suspicion of murder - remain in custody, said Gwent Police.

Police are appealing for anyone with information or who was in the area at the time to get in touch on 101, quoting log number 384 11/1/14.
