Firefighters extinguish tyre fire at Dyffryn Business Park

Firefighters have extinguished a tyre fire which has broken out at an industrial estate in Caerphilly county.

The blaze at Dyffryn Business Park, Ystrad Mynach, started in a skip at about 08:45 BST on Tuesday, police said.

The A469 was closed for a short time as the fire quickly spread, and neighbouring units had to be evacuated. No one has was injured.

The fire is believed to have been deliberately started.
