Boy airlifted after car rolls down Treharris mountainside

A boy was airlifted to hospital after the car he was travelling in rolled down a mountainside on Monday evening.

The crash happened on Parish Road, Treharris, just after 17:00 BST.

Two adults and another child were also taken to hospital after the four freed themselves from the crash and walked half a mile.

All four were taken to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil and the ambulance service said they were in a stable condition.

A total of 26 firefighters were called to the scene, along with three ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and the air ambulance.
