Caution for Cwmcarn School 'murder plot' girl

A second girl in an alleged murder plot against a teacher has been given a police caution.

The teenager, from Newbridge, Caerphilly county, was held in May at Cwmcarn High school with another girl, then aged 14.

The 15-year-old was held on suspicion of threats to kill, possession of a bladed article on a school premises and conspiracy to commit murder.

Gwent Police said no further action would be taken against her.

It is understood maths teacher Alison Cray was the target of the alleged plot.

The first girl was released in August with Gwent Police saying she will face no action.
