Five charged over Maesteg burglary wild boar release

Five people have been charged after wild boar were released during a burglary at a farm in Bridgend county.

More than 40 of the animals were released from their pen following a break-in at Llangynwyd, near Maesteg, on 27 April this year.

All five people have been charged with burglary and releasing wild boar into the wild. One is charged with causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.

They will appear appear before Bridgend magistrates on Friday, 10 October.
