Window shattered in bus attack in Pentwyn, Cardiff

A pregnant woman was taken to hospital after a group of teenage boys threw an object through the window of a bus.

Police say the window was shattered during the incident which took place at about 20:00 BST in the Pentwyn area of Cardiff on Friday.

The bus was being driven along Pentwyn Road at the time.

The woman was taken to the city's University Hospital of Wales as a precaution and officers are appealing for information about the incident.

Sgt Christopher Fennessy, of South Wales Police, said: "This was a very irresponsible act which could have had far more serious consequences."

Anyone who saw the group of boys or was on the bus is asked to call 101.
