Clydach couple rescued from above Abergavenny cliffs

A man and woman have been rescued after becoming stranded above cliffs near Abergavenny.

The couple, from Clydach, Swansea, became stuck on the steep escarpment while out for a Sunday stroll.

Longtown Mountain Rescue Team came to their aid at Craig y Cilau Nature Reserve in Llangattock.

Rescue team chairman Mike Jones said: "They were pleased to see us. We were able to re-warm them, give them food and drink and help them to safety."
