Two people have suffered minor injuries following a crash which caused a van to hit a hotel in Monmouthshire.

It collided with a black car on Porthycarne Street in Usk shortly before 09:00 GMT on Wednesday.

As a result, the white van mounted a pavement and crashed into the Three Salmons Hotel.

An ambulance service spokesman said one of the injured was taken to Nevill Hall Hospital, Abergavenny, and the other to the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport.

The hotel is being assessed for structural damage.
