Work has started to convert the former Caerphilly Miners Hospital into a community centre.

The Community's Learning Resource Space will offer a wide range of services to people of all ages and backgrounds.

The project is being led by the charity Caerphilly Miners and has been paid for through several grants and by fundraising in the community.

Initial work will be on refurbishing the ground floor and is expected to be completed in summer 2015.
