More than 700 hate crime referrals have been received by a Cardiff-based reporting centre in its first seven months.

Communities minister Lesley Griffiths said that while the number of referrals is encouraging, the figures "clearly show hate crime is very real problem".

She added "hate crime will not be tolerated in any form".

Set up in May, the National Hate Crime Report and Support Centre is run by Victim Support Wales.
