Vale of Glamorgan council tax rises 3.9% for 2015/16

Council tax will rise 3.9% for residents in the Vale of Glamorgan after the council approved its budget for 2015/16.

The increase will see the annual cost for a Band D property rising to £1,069.56 - an increase of £40.14 on the last financial year.

The budget for 2015/16 is £212.355m and the authority must save £24.6m over the next three years.
